Henry (Austin Abrams) is an aspiring writer. He is not good at making conversations, so he writes to understand himself. He is an editor of the school's newspaper. The story begins when he meets Grace (Lili Reinhart). Their teacher wanted to make a duo editor team of Henry & Grace. She refused the editor's post, even though she was good at writing the right words. Grace has shifted to school recently. Her broken leg and broken heart tell her story that she has gone through a difficult time. That's why she gave up writing.

When Henry saw Grace for the first time. He got attracted to this sad girl. She is the type of girl a writer would love to write about. Apart from writing, Henry has a hobby called Kintsukuroi. Kintsukuroi is an old Japanese art where artists fix broken pottery with seams of gold. So metaphorically, Grace is a broken person, and Henry is trying to fix her with his love.

It is a heartwarming teen movie, but you may find the story familiar. It is focused on various aspects of adolescent life such as the loss of loved ones, first love and first heartbreak, mental health. The climax was quite unexpected but follows the book.

Lili Reinhart's appearance in the bun hairstyle is really adorable, but a few shots with a walking stick look fanciful. I loved the chemistry of Lili Reinhart and Austin Abrams, they make a cute couple. I also liked the romance of Lola (Kara Young) & Cora (Coral Peña). The soundtrack is enjoyable, especially Take Care by Beach House is stuck in my head.
(I'd take care of you if you'd ask me too.)
You should watch this movie if you like emotional teen dramas and if you're a fan of Lili Reinhart.
