Aesthetic Movies You Must Watch

(If you're looking for the "Hey If you're feeling sad use this" link, it has been moved HERE.)

Here you will find a list of aesthetic movies. This list basically depends on the movie quotes, good cinematography, unique story/characters, etc.

Aesthetic Movies You Must Watch

Submarine (2010)
Genres: Comedy, Drama, Romance
It is based on Joe Dunthorne's novel. Oliver Tate (Craig Roberts) is the main character. He is playing a nerd teen role. What I really like about this movie is the way he narrates the story and the way he thinks throughout the movie. If you like movie quotes & subtitles and love taking screenshots, then 'Submarine' is a perfect movie to watch. Its cinematography is a work of art. Also, you will like the soundtrack of the movie by Alex Turner (Arctic Monkeys). You must listen to the song 'Stuck on The Puzzle'.
"I'm not the kind of fool.
Who's gonna sit and sing to you.
About stars, girls."

Drive (2011)
Genres: Crime, Drama
The main character, Ryan Gosling, has played an interesting role in this movie. His character is unique, so calm yet so powerful. The uniqueness of this movie is that it has less verbal conversations, but you will find each and every second aesthetic. You will love the intro song Nightcall by Kavinsky. If you like 'Drive' movie, then I'll also recommend The Place Beyond The Pines (2012).

Take Me Home Tonight (2011)
Genres: Comedy, Drama, Romance
This movie will give you the 90s vibe. Matt Franklin (Topher Grace) is playing the role of a struggling graduate who hasn't figured out what he wants to do in his life. Tori Frederking (Teresa Palmer) is Matt's high school crush. She looks stunning in this movie. You'll love the entry scene at the party when the 'Bette Davis Eyes' song is playing in the background. If you like this movie, then you should also watch The Giant Mechanical Man (2012).

Stuck In Love (2012)
Genres: Drama, Romance
This movie is about a writer's family having relationship issues. You will love the characters of Lily Collins and Logan Lerman. This movie has impressive quotes. Even starts with
"I remember that it hurt,
Looking at her hurt."
You should also watch Lilly Collins's Love, Rosie (2014), and Logan Lerman's The Perks of Being a Wallflower (2012).

About Time (2013)
Genres: Drama, Romance, Fantasy
This movie is about time travel. You must watch 'About Time' because this movie is a combo of good cinematography, quotes, and characters, everything needs to be an aesthetic movie. If you want to watch the cinematography of Paris and like art and literature, then you should watch Midnight in Paris (2011).

5 to 7 (2014)
Genres: Drama, Romance
Brian Bloom (Anton Yelchin) is an aspiring writer who falls in love with a married French woman, Arielle (Berenice Marlohe). The character of Arielle is really aesthetic. Here is my favourite quote from the movie,
"Some of the girls were lucky.
They had fallen in love, but not me.
Not once.
Even though I had been all over the world and I had met everyone.
I didn't believe enough.
I didn't believe in love."

I Origins (2014)
Genres: Drama, Romance, Sci-Fi
A scientist meets a mysterious girl at the party. He falls in love with her, and it leads to a heartbreaking story. You will love the cinematography of this movie, especially the way they focus on the eyes. I'll also recommend Her (2013).

Hardcore Henry (2015)
Genres: Action, Adventure, Sci-Fi
This movie is not for everyone because you will not be able to see the main character, Henry, except the view of what Henry sees. If you're a gaming lover, then you will definitely love this movie, and it is perfect to watch in VR. This is probably the unique action movie you have ever seen.

The Light Between Oceans (2016)
Genres: Drama, Romance
It is based on M. L. Stedman's novel. Alicia Vikander and Micheal Fassbender are in the leading roles. The cinematography of this movie is splendid. Also, the story is really heart-wrenching but doesn't have a happy ending, still completely entertaining. If you like this movie, then you should also watch The Choice (2016) because it has a happy ending.

Let The Right One In (2008)
Genres: Drama, Horror, Romance
This is a vampire classic. You will love the characters of little Oskar and Eli. Also, you will love the cinematography of winter weather. But it's not an English movie, you will find it in Swedish and Spanish. There's an English remake of this movie called Let Me In (2010). But I highly recommend watching the original movie. If you don't care about languages, then you should also watch the Persian vampire movie A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night (2014).
